Asaf Buchman‭ ‬‮‬presents a groovy and moving electro-bouzouki set‭, ‬combining the ancient‭, ‬ageless sound of live bouzouki playing with current House‭, ‬Techno and Trance beats‭.‬

This intriguing new project channels the breadth of Buchman's extensive musical experience‭, ‬which includes playing with the biggest names in Israel's ethnic Mideastern musical genre‭, ‬such as Avihu Medina and Sagiv Cohen‭, ‬as well as playing in and producing‭ ‬a variety of rock and electronic music projects‭, ‬from Shotei Hanevuah band's eclectic electro-acoustic party music to Israeli rock pioneer's Gabi Shoshan's comeback recordings‭.‬

‭ ‬

The unique sound of Mideastern string instruments‭, ‬from Oud to Saz‭, ‬captured Buchman's ears while still in his early teens‭, ‬a student of the guitar‭. ‬

The melodic and rhythmic possibilities opened up by these instruments continued to fascinate him during his studies in Israel's‭ ‬celebrated Rimon school of music‭. ‬This led him to set up the Lost Highways band‭, ‬which combined Americana music with Mideastern‭ ‬sounds‭.

All this‭, ‬while playing in various projects in some of Israel's finest venues‭, ‬from clubs and tavernas to the country's‭ ‬biggest festivals‭, ‬as well as producing singles and albums for such varied musicians as Idit Eshel‭, ‬INBAR‭, ‬and songwriter Barak‭ ‬Feldman‭, ‬two of whose songs Buchman produced for Avigail Moyal‭ (‬X Factor 2022‭ ‬alumni‭) ‬and Maya Cohen‭ (‬The Voice 2021‭ ‬alumni‭).‬

The Greek Bouzouki caught Busman's attention in recent years‭, ‬and became a perfect fit for Buchman's love of integrating disparate musical worlds‭. ‬The current projects presents Buchman at the height of his musical powers‭, ‬weaving sounds and beats from seemingly incompatible culture into a coherent‭, ‬groovy‭, ‬moving whole‭.‬
